Amanda Schraut is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker, LICSW (CMSW, LIMHP) and a 2008 graduate of UNO’s Master of Social Work program.
Amanda has a certification in Play Therapy; and extensive training and experience working in early childhood mental health. Areas of specialized training include Child Parent-Psychotherapy (CPP), Circle of Security-Parenting (COS-P), Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Amanda enjoys working with children (ages 3-12) with a variety of needs such as anxiety, life changes, parent-child relationships, attachment needs, trauma, etc. Amanda develops strong relationships and utilizes interactive play therapy-based approaches when working with children and families.
Additionally, Amanda has experience and training working with women during pregnancy and postpartum, including specialized training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, paternal (father’s) mental health, and perinatal loss. Amanda finds great joy in supporting pregnant people during their journey and enjoys working with those experiencing any perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, those adjusting to motherhood/parenthood, experiencing grief and loss, navigating difficult pregnancies and/or deliveries, NICU stays, pregnancy decision-making, adoption, etc. Amanda is here to nurture and be with women and parents during all stages of this journey
When not in the office, Amanda enjoys spending time with her children and friends. Amanda is a proud cat mom/cat lady, Harry Potter fan, avid read, and enjoys being active. Amanda finds value in relationships and acknowledging her many daily blessings!
